From the top of the waterfall, you can admire picturesque views of the green slopes of Mount Elgon and the plains of Karamoja in the distance.
The hike takes approximately 3-4 hours. Take a break from your hike and have a late lunch at Sipi. In the evening, visit the community and enjoy black coffee before checking into the lodge.

Start early in the morning and enjoy the beautiful safari game in Kidepo’s stunning natural surroundings. Enjoy rugged horizons and beautiful sunrises over the savannah/acacia grasslands as you drive through Kidepo’s two main biomes, from the savannah/acacia grasslands of the Narus Valley in the south to the semi-arid short land grasslands in the south. Observe numerous wild animals.
Kidepo Valley is located in the northern part of the country near the border with South Sudan.
Kidepo National Park is very popular with cats, some of which are not found in other parks in Uganda, such as cheetahs, naked hyenas, aardwolves, big-eared foxes, and caracals. Other games include lion, leopard, zebra, giraffe, hump, topi, waterbuck, Jackson hartebeest, oribi, and warthog. The ostrich is one of the most impressive birds here and cannot be seen in any other park in Uganda.
Don’t miss the famous Sand River and Kanangorok hot springs in the Kidepo Valley on the north side of the park. On dry days, you can have a picnic on Kidepo’s dry sandy riverbed. This is one of the most beautiful experiences you can have on safari.
In the morning, before the sun gets too hot, take a nature walk through the park guided by a park ranger and observe the animals up close while enjoying the beautiful nature. Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast and rest until lunch. After lunch, visit the local community of the Karamojong people, much like Kenya’s famous Maasai tribe. Learn more about their traditions and culture, unique living environment, decorations and handicrafts. You can also enjoy traditional dance performances and many other exciting activities from the Karamojong. Learn a word or two before returning to your lodge.
Have an early breakfast, check out and head to Murchison Falls National Park. For an early lunch, stop at Kitgum or Gulu town. Arrive in Murchison in the late afternoon and spend the rest of the evening as you hike to the top of the falls. This top of the falls hike presents the best view of Murchison Falls as the water squeezes itself in the small 8m gorge with the fastest speed you could even imagine. Proceed to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight.
After an early breakfast, head out for a hunting game drive in the northern part of the famous Murchison Falls National Park. There are many animals to see on game drives. Possible sightings include elephants, giraffes, buffalo, lions, Jackson’s hartebeest, Ugandan kob, leopards, warthogs, antelopes, oribis and waterbuck among many others.
After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and then take an afternoon boat ride to the bottom of the falls. The Murchison Falls boat ride offers exciting panoramic views of the majestic Murchison Falls as it rushes through a narrow gorge. You’ll see a variety of animals, including crocodiles and hippos. Many birds can be seen on the riverbanks, including kingfishers, cormorants, bee-eaters and the rare shoebill stork.
Without the Ziwa white rhino encounter, your safari is incomplete. Have your lovely breakfast and leave Murchison Falls National Park and make a stop by Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Uganda’s white rhino breeding area – your only place to sightsee rhinos in the wild in Uganda. After the encounter where you see other antelopes and other animal species here in Ziwa, you shall then proceed to have lunch before your final drive back to Kampala or Entebbe.
