Day1: Arrival and transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP

Welcome to Africa. We hope your arrival was in the morning. Today, our driver guide shall pick you and give you a briefing before a departure for the famed Queen Elizabeth national Park. You shall drive as you traverse the countryside of Uganda and later have lunch in Mbarara enroute to Queen Elizabeth. Upon arrival, embark on a fascinating evening game viewing to meet all the four of Big 5 African games. You shall also take sight of hippos, antelopes, warthogs and more. Retire and transfer to your safari lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight.

Day 2: Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi

Today, you shall wake up early morning before proceeding for a sun-rise morning game drive in the Kashenyi part of Queen Elizabeth to look for some of the games you didn’t see the previous day. After the encounter, proceed for a rewarding boat cruise to sightsee some animals including hippos, crocodiles, other aquatics and more. After the encounter, embark on a transfer to Bwindi where you arrive in the early evening as you drive via the Isasha sector for possibility of sightseeing the famed tree-climbing lions of Uganda that can be seen only here and Lake Manyara in Tanzania.

Day 3: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking and Lake Bunyonyi Relaxation

Today, is one of the most exciting day. You get to visit the adorable gentle giants. Wake up early morning and drive to the gorilla trekking headquarters for a briefing that starts at 7:30 am. Here, they shall brief you about the gorilla trekking dos and don’ts. Ensure you have enough drinking water and some bites. If necessary, hike the service of a porter to help you with some luggage if necessary.
After meeting the mountain gorillas, you have up to 60 minutes to watch them as they play, relate and feed. You are free to take as many photos as possible.

Just ensure you are at least 6 meters from the gorillas and avoid using flash lights when taking photos.
After the whole experience, return to the gorilla trekking starting point to transfer to Lake Bunyonyi where you shall have a relaxing evening in the second deepest lake in Africa.

Day 4: Kabale to Volcanoes

Wake up in the morning, have breakfast and embark on a transfer drive to cross the Uganda-Rwanda border as you head to Volcanoes. Your driver shall help you with the border and finally cross to Rwanda. Have lunch en-route and continue to drive to Volcanoes arriving in the late afternoon or arly evening. Proceed to your accommodation for dinner, relaxation and overnight.

Day 5: Rwanda Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes

Rwanda is regarded one of the most exciting gorilla trekking out of the three countries that host mountain gorillas. This is because of hoe easy to access Volcanoes is, the most developed infrastructure of Rwanda and more.
After your early morning breakfast, you shall head to the park’s headquarters for a Gorilla trekking briefing before embarking on a trail in the jungle to look for the adorable gorillas of Rwanda. Upon locating the mountain gorilla, you have the chance to watch them and take as many photos as possible. You have 1 hour with them.

After the exciting experience, return to the starting point to collect your Rwanda gorilla trekking certificate and return to the lodge for a late evening community encounter where you get to watch the local community members perform and you are free to join them and have fun.

Day 6: Golden monkey trekking

After your morning breakfast, today you head to the Volcanoes park headquarters for a briefing about golden monkey trekking. You have another chance to meet yet another primate of Rwanda. As you move inside the forest with enough drinking water, you shall meet the playful and orange-skinned small primates that live in groups of about 50 individuals. Golden monkeys are very stubborn and playful but, they are exciting to watch.

Golden monkeys are found only in Uganda, Rwanda and Congo and given the fact that they are endangered, this is an impressive opportunity to sightsee them. After the encounter, return to your accommodation for relaxation. If you have enough time, ask your safari guide for an optional activity that you may take part of this evening.

Day 7: Musanze to Bukavu DRC

Today, you shall drive and cross border to the Congo. Wake up early morning, have breakfast and embark on a drive to Buvaku, a town before the Kahuzi-Biega National park where you shall meet the giant Lowland gorillas the following day.

Day 8: Low land Gorilla Trekking

You will have an early breakfast and transfer to the National Park headquarters for a briefing at 8:30am for a briefing on the expectations, rules to be observed during and after Gorilla trekking. In the company of armed ranger guides, you shall move to the forest in search of the lowland gorillas and upon meeting them, you will spend 1hr with the Gorillas. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay after the exciting encounter.

Day 9: Transfer from Kahuzi Biega National park to Nyungwe

Have a nice breakfast and bid farewell to Congo. After which, you will drive from the Kahuzi Biega national Park for about 2 hours through the border, and arrive in the famous Nyungwe area for tomorrows exciting adventures. You shall leave here with great memories of immense gorila encounters.

Arrive at your Nyungwe accommodation for dinner, relaxation and overnight after a tiresome transfer.

Day 10: Chimpanzee trekking & Canopy walk

Today, after your early morning Breakfast, you will drive to Nyungwe Forest which is well known for having 13 species of primates. Transfer to the park for a briefing and chimpanzee trekking. On finding the chimpanzees, you will be allowed to spend 1 hour with them. Chimpanzees are more fun to be with compared to gorillas because, they are more intelligent and share quite a lot with humans.
After the chimpanzee trek, have lunch before heading for a canopy walk. This is an exciting adventure filled experience. Relax the rest of the evening and have dinner and overnight at your Nyungwe accommodation.

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Kivu

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Kivu on the Rwanda side. Arrive in time for lunch. Enjoy the hot meal, later in the afternoon, you will go for a boat ride on Lake Kivu. Enjoy the sunset cruise as you explore some of the birdlife and islands in the Lake. After the excitement, rerun to your accommodation for further relaxation and overnight.

Day 12: coffee tour and Transfer to Akagera National park

After breakfast you will breakfast and head for a coffee tour in Kinuni washing station in Gishenyi. Take a tour as they walk you through the whole process of making coffee right from the planting to the processing time. Enjoys some organic coffee and embark on a swift transfer to Akagera National park arriving in the late afternoon.

Day 13: Whole day Game viewing in Akagera

You will have an early breakfast and embark on an early morning sun rise game viewing in search for the exciting Big 5 games of Akagera National park. Here, you shall see other animals including giraffes, hippos, zebras, antelopes, many birds and more. After the encounter, have lunch and later proceed for a rewarding Lake Ihema boat ride where you shall see some of the Akagera’ s aquatics including crocodiles, hippos and more. Return to your accommodation for dinner, relaxation and overnight.

Day 14: Transfer to Kigali-Departure

After breakfast, at 9am you will drive from Akagera driving for about 4hrs before finally arriving in Kigali. Have lunch in Kigali in one of the restaurants, later be transferred to the airport for your departure. This marks the end of the safari and thank you for choosing us.
