After your morning breakfast, our driver guide will pick you up, brief you about your stay in Uganda and Rwanda and transfer you to Queen Elizabeth national park taking you roughly 7 hours’ drive before reaching the park. Have lunch enroute and proceed to the park for an exciting evening game drive in the open savannah of kasenyi plains for possible sightings of animals like lions, buffalos, elephants, antelopes, impalas and Uganda kobs among others wandering in the park.
If you are lucky, you have the chance to see leopards and more. Proceed to your lodge for relaxation and overnight.
Wake up early, have breakfast and go for chimpanzee trekking in the Kyambura gorge to meet our closest relative – the chimpanzees. After a briefing at the parks headquarters, you shall dive into the lush forest in search of the playful and climbing primates.
After locating the chimpanzees, you shall have up to 1 hour with them as you watch and learn as the guide tells you more about their behaviors and life in general. After trekking, you will go back to the lodge for a hot lunch and refreshment.
In the afternoon, drive to Kazinga channel for an exciting boat cruise for possible sighting of great aquatics like crocodiles, Hippos, Elephants, Buffalo among others along the shores.
Have morning breakfast, check out from the lodge and drive towards Bwindi via the Ishasha southern sector of the Queen Elizabeth National park for possible sighting of the tree climbing lions found only in Queen Elizabeth national park of Uganda and Tanzania’s Lake Manyara national Park. Have lunch en-route and continue to Bwindi arriving in the early evening.
Continue for relaxation or opt for a Batwa cultural encounter as you meet the traditional local bush men that still make fire from cow-dung and grass. Join them as they perform and later return to your accommodation for dinner and relaxation.
After morning breakfast, you will transfer to the national park headquarters at 7:00am for briefing before trekking. During the briefing, the park officials shall take you through the gorilla trekking do’s and don’ts. Ensure you have enough drinking water and with the help of a walking stick, start your gorilla trekking at 8:00 am, transfer to the starting point of the trekking trails and start up your hike following the various trail in tracks in the forest in search of the allocated gorilla family.
Upon reaching these great apes, you will spend an hour observing their human-like characters as they play, relate and feed. After the encounter, descend back to the gorilla trekking starting point to collect your Uganda gorilla trekking certificate.
Continue to Lake Bunyonyi immediately after the adventure for a relaxing evening in the second deepest lake in Africa. Here, you shall explore some of the 29 different lake Bunyonyi islands, the boat ride is rather relaxing and amazing here.
Today, you bid farewell to Uganda. After your late breakfast, it’s time for a transfer to Rwanda’s Volcanoes. After crossing the Gatuna border, you shall immediately see a change in vegetation as you notice how green and beautiful Rwanda looks.
Proceed to your Volcanoes accommodation arriving in the early evening.
Wake up early, have morning breakfast and drive to Volcanoes National park’s headquarters for a briefing by the park rangers before trekking. Just like in Uganda, in Volcanoes the park officials shall brief you regarding the gorilla trekking expectations, dos and don’ts and after a cultural performance, you shall depart for the lush forest to search the gentle giants.
Upon locating the gorillas of Rwanda, you will spend an hour with these endangered species after which you will descend back to the starting point and then to the lodge for a quick relaxation. In the evening, visit the local villages where you will be introduced to Rwanda traditional culture. During this encounter, you are free to join them as they perform.
After your morning breakfast, go for golden monkey trekking in the park and enjoy a moment with them as they jump over and play all over the place.
The adventure starts with a morning briefing at the park’s headquarters and later after a hike of about 1 hour, you shall locate the playful and gorgeous primates.
Unlike the mountain gorillas, you can take the photos of golden monkeys with flashes. It’s important to know that golden monkeys are found only in Uganda, Rwanda and Congo, so take the best use of this opportunity.
After the experience, continue to Kigali where you will have a city tour to various tourism sites such as the Kigali convention center, presidential palace, and the Kigali genocide memorial center and then connect to the airport for your return flight
