Community tourism, often referred to as Community-Based Tourism, is an approach to travel that puts local communities at the forefront. Unlike conventional tourism, where profits often go to large, foreign-owned companies, here it is planned, owned, and managed by the residents themselves. The primary goal is to ensure that the economic, social, and cultural benefits of tourism are directly invested back into the community. This model is all about empowerment, authenticity, and sustainability.
