Itinerary in detail
Day 1: Kampala – Lake Mburo National Park.
Pick up from your hotel in Kampala/Entebbe airport early in the morning for a short city tour of Kampala. Drive out of Kampala and south west for 5 hours to Lake Mburo, Uganda’s smallest savannah park.
Make a fleeting stop at the Equator to take photos, drink coffee, and shop. After that, continue to the park, where you can arrive in the afternoon. At the cabin, you’ll have dinner and spend the night.
Day 2: Wildlife watching and a boat ride.
Early in the morning, go game viewing in the open savannahs. Taking a game drive through the park allows you to see wildlife grazing and sleeping up close. Buffaloes, tigers, hippos, giraffes, zebras, Uganda Kobs, Defassa waterbucks, Impalas, and bush pigs are among the wildlife that can be seen in Lake Mburo national park.
Return to the lodge for a late breakfast and to await the arrival of lunch. Join a boat ride around the massive Lake Mburo in the afternoon. Birds and wild water animals, including crocodiles, can be seen relaxing on the shores of the lake. Stay the night at the cabin.
