This 11 days Uganda Rwanda safari combines the best safari highlights of both countries including mountain gorilla trekking, chimp tracking, Big game, and wildlife viewing, nature walks, and cultural encounters.
The safari starts from Uganda at Entebbe Airport and ends in Rwanda at Kigali international airport.

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport and transfer to Kibale National Park
Upon your arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be picked up by our safari guide and transferred to Kibale national park which is located in Western Uganda about 5-7 hours on the road.
On your arrival in the park, check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Chimp trekking at Kibale Forest national park.
On an early morning at your lodge, you will first have a delicious breakfast, pack your lunch and drinking water then hike up the mountainous trails in search of the endangered species – the chimpanzees.
It is an awe-inspiring experience encountering these intelligent wildlife species in their natural habitat.
Return to your lodge for dinner, refreshments, and an overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
On a fresh morning, you will have breakfast at your lodge, pack your lunch and then transfer to the Queen Elizabeth national park driving southwards.
Enter the most popular park in Uganda and check in to your lodge for dinner, refreshments, and an overnight
Day 4: Ishasha sector and game drive in Queen Elizabeth.
After a comfortable overnight, you will have breakfast, packed lunch, and then you will partake in a game drive to encounter the big game and witness the famous tree-climbing lions in Ishasha’s sector.
Enjoy your packed lunch in the park and you will then partake in a Boat cruise along the Kazinga channel to witness the hippos and crocodiles as they lark on the shores.
Retreat to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
At dawn in your lodge in Queen Elizabeth National, you will have breakfast, and then you will transfer with our guide to the Bwindi impenetrable national park.
This is Uganda’s largest and most diverse rainforest park, and it harbors critically endangered mountain gorillas, check-in to your designated lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Gorilla Trekking and Nature walks.
On the early morning, you will have breakfast and then take briefing rules and regulations at the briefing point, here jungle shoes, a walking stick, and a packed lunch are advised.
The trained ranger will lead through the dense vegetation on an awe-inspiring quest in search of these magnificent creatures – the mountain gorillas.
Trek the steep trails until your effort is rewarded on an encounter with the gorilla families in their natural habitat where you will carry lifetime memories from the 1-hour up-close with these creatures.
Retreat to your lodge in the park for dinner, refreshments, and an overnight.
Day 7: Cross to Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda.
From Bwindi national park, you will proceed to Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda via the Cyanika border, and you will visit the Karisoke Research Centre where you will learn more about the great work done by Dain Fossey towards gorilla conservation.
Check in to your designated lodge where you will have dinner and an overnight.
Day 8: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park.
At the Exciting dusk, get the morning breakfast, and then you will be picked up from your lodge and taken to the briefing point with your packed lunch and drinking water to clarify the rules and regulations for trekking gorillas in Volcanoes National Park.
The gorilla trekking experience will start at 8:00 am and can cover over 6 hours. At about 1:00 PM, have your packed lunch and drinking water for refreshment.
Trek the steep trails until your effort is rewarded on an encounter with the gorilla families in their natural habitat where you will carry lifetime memories from the 1-hour up-close with these creatures. Retreat to your lodge in the park for dinner, refreshments, and an overnight.
Day 9: Transfer to Akagera National Park.
After an awe-inspiring encounter with the mountain gorillas, you will be transferred from your lodge in Volcanoes National Park to your next lodge called Akagera Game Lodge in Akagera National Park where you will check in, have dinner, and have an overnight.
Day 10: Morning game drive and Launch cruise in Akagera National Park.
After a comfortable night in Lodge, you will have a heavy delicious breakfast then partake in a game drive via the savanna grasslands of the park. In your comfortable safari vehicle, take lifetime photographs of the big game like lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos, and elephants.
In the afternoon, you will embark on a boat cruise along Lake Iheme and enjoy the best scenic landscapes and wildlife such as hippos, crocodiles as they lurk on the shores.
Day 11: Transfer to Kigali International Airport.
On this very last day, you will have a delicious breakfast in the morning and then transfer to Kigali city where you will have a stop to buy souvenirs and an encounter with the locals.
From Kigali city, you will then head to the Kigali International Airport for departure.
