10 Days Uganda Gorilla & Wildlife Safari Tour
This 10-day Uganda safari exposes the finest that Uganda has to offer. You will tour popular safari spots like as Murchison Falls, Kibale Forest, Queen Elizabeth Park, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, and Lake Mburo National Park.
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
You will be picked up from your Entebbe / Kampala accommodation and driven to Murchison Falls National Park. Along the journey, you’ll stop at the Ziwa rhino reserve, Uganda’s only spot to observe rhinos! Participate in rhino tracking and stop for lunch along the way. You will enter the park by the Kichumbanyobo gate, see the top of the falls, and then travel to Pakuba Safari Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Murchison Falls game drive and launch cruise
Breakfast early in the morning, followed by a game drive to see numerous animal species such as elephants, giraffes, lions, and Uganda kobs, among others. In the afternoon, you will have a launch cruise on the park’s biggest tourist feature, the distinctive Murchison Falls, as well as the River Nile, with its flowing hippo and serried ranges of crocodiles along the sandbanks, and enormous numbers of diverse species going down to drink and bathe. Day 3: Travel to Kibale National Park
After breakfast, you will drive to Kibale. You will stop in Fort Portal to see the amabere ganyinamwiru stalagmites and waterfalls, as well as the crater lakes. After lunch, go to Kibale, where you will arrive late in the afternoon. Chimpanzee woodland guest home dinner and overnight stay
Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest, followed by a transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Have an early breakfast, then attend to the briefing before beginning monkey trekking. Kibale Forest National Park is one of Africa’s greatest safari places for chimp tracking. Kibale’s 795km2 National Park has one of the most magnificent and diverse areas of tropical forest in Uganda. This is home to a variety of forest fauna, most notably 13 ape species including chimps. After the trip, you will have lunch and then visit Bigodi Wetland, where you will see a variety of bird life and a pristine environment! Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park afterward. Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park game drive and launch cruise
You will travel on an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi area, where you may see elephants, Uganda kobs, and leopards, among other creatures. Return to the resort for a late breakfast before visiting the Katwe salt pans, where you will see locals salt mining. After lunch, travel on a launch cruise in the Kazinga canal to see diverse animals such as hippos and crocodiles. The boat will also educate you on numerous birds, most of which will be on the sandbanks. As already said, dinner and sleep at Elephant Hub Lode.
Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Following breakfast, you will depart for Bwindi through the Ishasha section of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you may see tree climbing lions. You will stop for lunch en route and arrive in Bwindi in the afternoon. Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge provides dinner and overnight accommodations.
Note: If you arrive at the lodge early, you can participate in a variety of extra activities such as visiting the Batwa people or going on a village stroll.
Day 7: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Following an early breakfast, you’ll drive to the park headquarters for a briefing before going gorilla trekking. Depending on the gorillas’ actions, this might take 4-8 hours. You will return to the starting location for your gorilla trekking certificate before returning to the resort. Dinner and overnight stay at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge, as described above.
Day 8: Travel to Lake Bunyonyi – Kabale
After breakfast, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale, regarded as the “Switzerland of Africa!” The road itself is picturesque, with foggy distant vistas of the Virunga Mountains.
After lunch, go to Lake Bunyonyi for a boat ride to Bushara Island, where you will have a restorative nature stroll on the woodland track with excellent bird-watching chances! Return to the loading site before continuing to Bunyonyi Eco Resort for supper and an overnight stay.
Day 9: Boat excursion to Lake Mburo National Park and transfer
You will eat breakfast and then take a boat trip on the magnificent Lake Bunyonyi, which is made up of 36 islands, each with its own narrative! You will visit some of the prominent islands, such as Punishment Island, Bushara Island, and Leper’s Island, among others, where you will observe a variety of birds and learn more about the locals. Then, proceed to Lake Mburo National Park, stopping in Mbarara for lunch before arriving in Lake Mburo late afternoon/early evening. Rwakobo Rock for dinner and an overnight stay.
Optional Activities include a guided nature walk, horseback riding, and biking.
Day 10: Game drive and return to Kampala
Take an early morning game drive in the park, which is home to herds of Impala as well as the more unusual Topi, Eland, and Klipspringer. We’ll make the most of the final day of your 10-day safari. Burchell’s zebra and buffalo graze among the recently arrived Giraffes. Return to the lodge for late breakfast and lunch before driving back to Kampala and dropping you off at your lodge or Entebbe airport for your onward journey, bringing your 10 Days Best of Uganda Safari to a close.
