Parco nazionale della foresta di Kibale is one of the last remaining expanses to comprise both low-lying and montane forests. If you can’t afford the lavish cost of mountain-gorilla tracking, then visiting one of the five habituated groups of chimpanzees here is a very earnest substitute, not to mention a far less economically challenging one.
Kibale is the best place for Chimpanzee trekking in Uganda. The park has recorded 13 primate species, the highest number in Uganda. Aside from chimpanzees, several species can usually be found on the primate walks. Birds and butterflies are abundant.
