Day 1: Transfer to Jinja, White Water Rafting on the Nile and Return
Your guide from Friendly Gorillas picks you up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe very early in the morning. After a short briefing, you begin the drive to Jinja in eastern Uganda.
The route takes you through towns, roadside markets, sugarcane areas, and local communities. Depending on traffic and timing, you may continue directly to the rafting base or make a short stop along the way.
On arrival in Jinja, you meet the rafting team for registration, safety briefing, and gear fitting. The rafting guides explain how the activity works, what to do in the raft, how to respond to instructions, and how the team manages safety on the river.
You then begin the white-water rafting experience on the Nile. This is the main highlight of the tour. The activity gives you a mix of excitement, river scenery, teamwork, and a different side of Uganda beyond national parks.
